Luiz Carlos Trabuco is one of Brazil’s leading members of the financial industry. He was originally born October 6, 1951. Over the course of his lifetime, he has worked his way up from the entry-level positions in the banking industry to become president of one of the largest banks in the entire nation. In 2015 he was considered entrepreneur of the year by a regional publication. In 2009 he was listed among the 100 most influential Brazilians and in 2016 he was listed among the best chief executive officers in the country of Brazil by the American magazine Forbes.
Luiz Carlos Trabuco originally began his career in the baking industry as a clerk at the age of 17 working for Bradesco bank. Over the next 15 years, he sifted through numerous job assignments. Eventually, he became a marketing director for Bradesco bank. As a marketing director for Bradesco bank, he modernized bank’s relationship with the media. Through this modernization the relationship between the bank and the media crew closer. He served as the bank’s marketing director for a period of eight years and in 1992 was promoted to the Chief Executive Officer of a branch of Bradesco bank that was a privately owned company with a focus on private pensions. He continued to work in this position until the year 1998. In 1998 he was elected as the managing director of Bradesco bank where one year later he became the executive vice president. In 2003 he had managed to become the president of Bradesco securities an umbrella company which included eight subsidiaries. During his time as the president of Bradesco securities, he was able to launch the company on the New York Stock Exchange.
By launching the company on the New York Stock Exchange, he was able to accelerate the corporation’s growth, and by the end of his tenure as president, he had managed to double the Corporation size and solidify its position as a national leader with a 25% share of the marketplace. During the same time. The division of the company which was working in the insurance industry had grown 25% to 35%, becoming one of the largest sectors in all of Latin America.
According to valor.com.br, earlier this year Luiz Carlos Trabuco announced that he would be replaced as the Chief Executive Officer for Bradesco bank by Octavio Lazari. Octavio Lazari was not a crowd favorite among the potential seven other vice presidential candidates. However, Luiz Carlos Trabuco assures members of the company that Octavio Lazari deserves the position as president of the company. Luiz Carlos Trabuco has not formally stepped down from his position as president and will continue to operate as the leader of the company until a formal transition of power is made. Octavio Lazari has worked in the banking industry since the year 1978 where he began working for Bradesco bank. He went to school and graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Navarra. Luiz Carlos Trabuco believes that Octavio Lazari will help to lead Bradesco bank forward into the future.
